1. System Overview & Architecture

LocalIt: At Your Fingertip is a cross-platform mobile delivery platform engineered to digitize neighborhood retail businesses and enable fast on-demand delivery. Built as a collaborative 3-member development effort, the application incorporates three distinct, synchronized role-based interfaces:

• Customer Interface: Product browsing, digital cart management, discount coupon application, and real-time order tracking.
• Shop Owner Dashboard: Digital storefront catalog management, inventory adjustments, low-stock warnings, and order fulfillment.
• Delivery Partner View: Live delivery request acceptance, Google Maps GPS turn-by-turn routing, and status broadcasting.

2. Spatial Technologies & Real-Time Stack

To provide real-time location tracking and efficient routing, the platform leverages:

• Google Maps API & Geolocation: Calculating spatial travel times, rendering dynamic delivery route polylines, and enforcing merchant service-area perimeters.
• Socket.IO Real-Time Dispatch: Bi-directional event streams that update order progress and delivery rider coordinates on user screens without polling.
• Razorpay Gateway Integration: Secure mobile payment processing with instant digital order validation.

3. Connection to Academic Foundations

LocalIt was architected and built while studying Bachelor of Computer Applications at GLS University, applying core principles in database design, API communication, and mobile frontend engineering.
